Stephan is a political scientist who has worked with Roma and Roma-related groups for more than twenty-five years. He is particularly interested in the situation of Roma and Roma-related groups in conflict and post-conflict situations. In this context, he also worked on the situation of Dom and Abdal refugees from Syria in Turkey. Currently, he focuses his work on Roma in Ukraine.
