Sarah Edgcumbe delivered an online guest lecture to the international relations class at the University of the Sacred Heart in Puerto Rico, at the kind invite of Dr Ojel Rodriguez Burgos. The lecture highlighted the entrenched discrimination and structural violence experienced by Roma in Kosovo and Gypsies in Iraq during war and beyond, including in asylum regimes, humanitarian practice, development, and peacebuilding. The lecture is in English.

An online webinar (English language) with Lala Arabian from Insan Association, Catherine Mourtada from Tahaddi, and Dr Roy AbiJaoude from Lebanese Developers. This conversation will provide insight into the Dom community in Lebanon, with a particular emphasis on protection, development, and peacebuilding needs. The importance of community-based programming will be discussed, alongside the challenges Dom face in accessing livelihood programmes and dignified jobs. Professor Hashimi will explore the causes, effects, and potential solutions to anti-Gypsyism in Iraq through conversation with award-winning journalist and social activist Manar al Zubaidi, journalist and activist Istabraq al Zubaidi, and lawyer and social activist Farah Mahmoud.
